Chat Thread Order and how to just read new posts

Well...this is a workaround for the thread Order mess.

Step 1: Go to the 3 bars on the left, and pick Menu


Step 2: Select "What's New"


Step 3: Select "New Posts" , then you will see all posts that has new discussion and new posts.


Final Step : Make sure you uncheck the filter for "unread threads", so you still see all posts.

Go to Toronto review, skip the first few pages and start reading from page 4 - 5 and on. That covers most new posts in order just like old days..

What's new and New posts keep changing every minutes or so with bumps and shills and you will miss out all the info.

U can also just look at Toronto Massage Reviews…

1. Go to Toronto Massage Reviews & choose Watch
2. While looking at New Posts, click in Filter & choose Watched

… then u only see Toronto Massage Reviews, not ChitChat, news, Edmonton forum, etc.

Check the filter setting, the default seems to be “unread only”, so threads you have read the latest post will drop off from your view. Was happening to me until I noticed unread only at the top

I found going 2 pg 7, some threads ain’t there… it looks like any thread in 1st 6 pgs will not appear again.

Is there a reason the mods or admins have just chosen to ignore this issue? I come here to read and poke around, not click settings and problem solve. I might as well just visit another site if they can't be bothered keeping the site running smoothly.

The change is intentional. It's supposed to discourage shills from bumping the spa ad threads repeatedly to stay on page 1. Now page 1-6 or so is randomized instead of being in order. So to counteract the shills @admin decided to make the site crappy for everyone else too.

I've been doing this for a few weeks, and it has it's pros and cons.

Pros:
- I don't see threads I've already read because I watch them.
- I don't see gaps for ignored threads (most of the spa ad threads). Right now I just browsed pages 5-10 of the Toronto forum and they're almost empty for me, but New Posts always shows 20 unread/unignored threads.

Cons:
- New Posts only seems to show threads from the last two days. I was busy last week and I didn't really browse the threads, just checked the threads I was subscribed to. When I checked the New Posts to get caught up, it missed threads that were updated more than 2 days ago but I never saw at that time.

"New Posts", "Watched", and a lot of "Ignore" make this forum useable and often useful. YMMV.

This new setup is not good for having threads with continuous discussions about a topic, since new posts do not bump an old thread back to the top and stay there.
