LOL .The Vette is the only thing that GM makes that can be considered cool as you say. The trucks and SUV's are OK. The GM cars suck. There is nothing wrong with liking mediocre. If that is what you like then so be it. My current daily driver is a Honda. It is over 10 years old and gets driven all year round. My 2 summer cars are that summer cars/show cars only. Just like my old 73 Cuda 440 with a 6 pack. Now that was a car. God I loved that car. Sold it for a good chunk of change when the offer was too good to ignore.

If you want to talk about fit and finish, do some research first before you open your mouth. The fit and finish from Oshawa was 100%. The fit and finish from Mexico is shit. GM is not the same all over. Oshawa has been building cars for 102 years. That Oshawa plant was the number 1 plant in North America every year.

The Japanese never let GM into their home market.We let Japan into our home market. That is where the problem lies.

When I lived in Japan, I rarely saw an American car. I mean, I didnt even see one American car on the road in an average 2 week period. And I lived in one of the biggest cities in Japan.

The trade deals were setup to fuck the Canadian and American worker. On Purpose.

In the 1970s, we spent outselves into debt and we had to let Asians come over here in the 1990s and beyond to bail us out. Now, Toronto no longer resembles the Canada I grew up in. Its sad, but our politicians Pimped us all and now we can never recover. I hate seeing all these Asian immigrants, these Spanish immigrants and every other non-white immigrant invade our land. But that's the consequence we paid for the choices we made decades earlier.

The Japanese have small trucks that fit on the roads built in Japan. Obvioulsy then, most American cars will also fit on their roads as the typical American car is much smaller than the typical Japanese delivery truck. Stop regurgitating what you read on the internet. I lived in Japan. I know from first hand experience.

The number one reason the Japanese dont drive U.S. cars is because the Japanese govt heavily taxes any engine that is over 0.6 litres in size. So, most American cars, having much larger engines, would get taxed too heavily for the Japanese drivers to justify ownership. The Japanese authorities did this on purpose, to protect their own market and keep the American cars out. Yet, no international trade agreement addresses this manipulative regulation and so American cars lose out and the Japanese are able to come to the North American market and sell millions of cars, thus wealth leaves NA and goes back to Japan, in the form of profits.

I buy Japanese cars only because my wife is Asian and insists on it. Otherwise I would drive a Ford.
