50.01% of 407 ETR is owned by CPP (benefits CPP participants, many of which reside in Ontario, but most don't).
43.23% by a Spanish company.
6.76% by Canadian AtkinsRealis Group Inc.

Ontario taxpayers lost big time.

Additionally, the 407 is underutilized, mainly because of high tolls.
This does not help reduce congestion on surrounding routes, as originally touted.

Trust Fund babies love it. Makes them feel superior to the proles.

Side Note: Bad Deal?
In 1999, the Ontario government leased Highway 407 ETR for 99 years to a private consortium for $3.1 billion. This deal has been widely criticized as undervaluing the asset, with some experts suggesting it was worth significantly more at the time.

Very true. KRAYJEE'S prior Federal Conviction and penitentiary sentence make it likely that he would get more than a minimum sentence.
