VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A Vancouver man has been charged after a woman was sexually assaulted during a massage.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, the woman booked a massage at a business near West Broadway Avenue and Macdonald Street on Wednesday. Police believe 55-year-old Chun Zhen Tang, who is an unlicensed massage provider, allegedly assaulted her while she was on the massage table.
“Thankfully this woman didn’t sustain any physical injuries from the assault and she was able to call police immediately after the incident occurred,” says VPD’s Const. Tania Visintin.
Tang has been charged with one count of sexual assault, but he was released on bail with a court-ordered condition prohibiting him from providing massage treatment to women.
“We hope this result can bring peace to the woman involved,” Visintin says.
Tang will be back in court next month.
