BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. — Two people have been cited following ongoing investigations in multiple area massage parlors.
Law enforcement executed search warrants at four businesses and visited others. At a business on West Stone Drive, two citations for engaging in massage without a license were issued to Hong Diao, age 56, and Yunixa Li, age 57, both of Kingsport.
Over the course of recent months, investigations of several local massage parlors were initiated by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Bristol Tennessee Police Department and the Kingsport Police Department. These businesses were under investigation for alleged prostitution and operating without proper massage therapy licenses, according to a written statement.
Search warrants were executed April 8 at four locations — two in Bristol, Tennessee, and two in Kingsport, according to the statement.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and Bristol Tennessee Police Department investigations remain active and ongoing.
During the course of these investigations, multiple patrons of the locations were recorded and have been identified. Detectives are currently in the process of contacting these individuals.
Anyone that has visited these businesses and would prefer to speak to detectives by phone can call the SCSO at 423-323-8367 or the BTPD at 423-989-5568.
This coordinated effort was supported by the Second Judicial District Attorney General’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking and the Branch House Family Center of Sullivan County.
