I have gone to Spiritual Spa since it opened. I knew the owner from when she worked at Joy. At one time, it was a good place. But after last night, never again. I did not know the girl who came to the door, but I have seen her there before. She led me to the room, and left. Before I could lie down she was back stripping the top sheet from the table. I then lay down and she started. After a bit she covered my lower half with what at first I thought was a towel. It turned out to be the same top sheet she had taken off the bed. After she was finished the massage and I was getting dressed, she came back in the room. She took the towel off the table, put a new one, and then put the same top sheet back, the one she put on me. How many others had that sheet been on? I don't want to know, and I don't plan on going back to find out.

that's shit man... actually i've never been satisfied there since ivy left... last time i went joy 'tried' to loosen my tense shoulders but end up making them sore for the next four days!

I have also been going to Spiritual since it opened. I always had a great time with Tina (now retired), Coco and Ivy. But after Ivy left, the last 2 times have been subpar. The last time I went there (about 2 weeks ago) it was about 10 at night and Joy opened the door. She was quite frazzled and she abruptly told me that they were closed but then said come back in 10 minutes.

I feel the problem is that Joy is overworked and the other short girl with the short hair does not speak English. I know Yuki is back but she does not say too much and tends to rush you.

When Coco and Ivy were there, not only could they speak English well but they were professional with their clients. I feel the current lineup is immature and as a result, many people are getting turned off.

It's too bad because it's open late (like past midnight), inexpensive and I always got great service.

I agree Joy is overworked & also very underpaid. Alot of people don't feel obligated to tip at a place like Spiritual, because of "no extras".. so IMHO the girls should get a higher % of the door fee (and/or people should tip something). Otherwise the girls AREN'T very happy, which means the customers are not happy. I blame management not the girls. Imagine working for much less than minimum wage average, based on that many hours.

Joy gives the best hard massage I've had, and I've seen her enough times that she know exactly how to please me everytime. She has enough regulars to start somewhere else & make alot more money, but she still seems very dedicated to Spiritual for some reason. So as long as Joy is there, I'll go back.

The last time I was there, she had me done in 20 minutes and says "time is over". I looked at my watch and only been 20 minutes. I got a basic massage and 10 minutes into it, turn over. I have never been so rushed and I wasn't going to back down this time . As I was dressing up I told her you still owe 10 minutes and she said next time she'll make it up. I got her to admit to the shortfall on my dime.

I then said, you can take the remaining 10 minutes, and use that as the tip. If it's $40/30 minutes, a 20 minute massage should be just over $25 and told her she can keep the $15 for the tip. She left the room pissed and so was I.

She then returned as was about to open the door with another girl who spoke English. Then she sad you came in at 10PM and it's now 10:30. I told her she came into the room@ 10:10 and left the room @ 10:25. As I was leaving, it's now 10:30 after getting all dressed up.

As we were talking, 2 other guys walked in and I told them to make sure they get the 30 minutes in front of the girls. They rushed me out at that point so I wouldn't speak to other clients walking in.

Never going back.

My first time with Joy, she rushed me out in 20 minutes, however, I still gave her a $20 tip. Next time I went back, I purposely took 45 minutes thinking that perhaps she might give me a better session and a longer tease. Same thing happened, I was out in 35 minutes. I did mention the time shortage but she either did not understand or could not understand.

I never felt rushed with any of the ladies there in the past. I used to go there at least 2-3 times per month. But now I will not return until Ivy returns, if she returns. The problem is with management. They have to hire better girls who can speak decent English and can handle customers in a professional manner.

I hope Spiritual management reads massageplanet.net so they can improve service.

poor man..i feel sorry for all of your guys. i knew those girls who work at this place are also from Joyful spa b4..most of them cant speak good english.i worked with maggie and Nora only 2 weeks at joyful 2 years ago .i dont like the boss man there.

But if you leave it up to the girl to watch the clock, that'll happen anywhere. I point to the clock when she enters, and I check the time perodically so I never get jipped & sent home early.

I went there and Yuki gave me a good back & shoulder massage .But she just keeps looking at the clock at the finish .It's like a assembly line the more they get done the more money they make? She didn't shortchange me time but I've heard of alot of guys say the opposite .I tipped her but I haven't been back since so I don't know if that makes a difference?

I haven't been back for a couple of months...based on the comments, I don't think I'd go back again anytime soon. I liked it there because that's the closest spa for me late at night when I get a chance to go for a basic quickie massage with release. If only downtown has a basic spa like spiritual that opens late! I am so there!!
