As of September 22, 2021, Ontarians will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access certain public settings and facilities. This approach focuses on higher-risk indoor public settings where face coverings cannot always be worn and includes:

• Strip clubs, bathhouses and sex clubs

• At no time will anyone be prevented from accessing necessary medical care, food from grocery stores, basic medical supplies or other essentials
• Voting in upcoming federal election
• Outdoor settings, including patios, with the exception of outdoor nightclub spaces

• Retail shopping
• Salons
• Banks
• Places of worship

I could technically prove this now since I got an email but that could still be easily fakes. Those who are squeamish about letting SPs or MPAs know anything about you, well my email has my full name and age. Anything official will display possibly more such as address?

There's already a sign in every spa entrance saying you need to wear a mask at all times inside, and even the receptionists are lax about adhering to that.

They don't necessarily have to. You can be given a QR code that gets validated without the person scanning having to know anything about you.

Whether an email, certificate and yes even the QR code as proof of vaccination, you'll also still need to provide a proper government issued photo ID in every instance to demonstrate you are the actual person being referenced to in the vaccination proof.

So no, there's no way around having to spill those personal details around anyways if you're worried about that.

How diligent spas will be with enforcing this, who knows.

I'm vaccinated but this i don't think is right of the government to push on people, it's essentially forcing you to take the vaccine, which really makes me question what's the true motive behind this. I've never seen any vaccine pushed so hard on the population, even with SARS and other pandemics in the past it's never been like this.. holding a database of vaccinated people and requiring proof to essentially live a normal life is fuckn crazy and is what life in china has been like for the past few years

Here we report the identification of a potential variant of interest assigned to the PANGO lineage C.1.2. This lineage was first identified in May 2021 and evolved from C.1, one of the lineages that dominated the first wave of SARS-CoV-2 infections in South Africa and was last detected in January 2021. C.1.2 has since been detected across the majority of the provinces in South Africa and in seven other countries spanning Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania. The emergence of C.1.2 was associated with an increased substitution rate, as was previously observed with the emergence of the Alpha, Beta and Gamma variants of concern (VOCs). C.1.2 contains multiple substitutions (R190S, D215G, N484K, N501Y, H655Y and T859N) and deletions (Y144del, L242-A243del) within the spike protein, which have been observed in other VOCs and are associated with increased transmissibility and reduced neutralization sensitivity. Of greater concern is the accumulation of additional mutations (C136F, Y449H and N679K) which are also likely to impact neutralization sensitivity or furin cleavage and therefore replicative fitness. that is usually the outcome when vaccines are not distributed quickly, This scale of pandemic we have never experienced before as a humanity, even with Spanish Flu people did not travel by airplanes, transmitting virus from continent to continent within hours.
I hope they find a way to have new vaccine administered to the world population in short time ( a month) then maybe we will get a chance to stop spread and mutation and finally get this virus under control.
