It's called "Domingo de Pascuas" and it's part of what is called "Semana Santa" in just about every Hispanic country.

Translated: It was Holy Week, ending on Easter Sunday. They are not quite as capitalistic as we are... These are very religious people. They may not care much about morals by allowing prostitution, but they are very religious indeed.
Things will be back to normal tomorrow Tuesday because the 11th was a Holidaybut because it fell on a Tuesday, they will celebrate it today after Easter.

Best job in Costa Rica is working for the U.S. Embassy. They close for all U.S. and Costa Rica holidays.

At last count that was 21 or 22 per year. :

That works for me...

Almost as good as in Germany.... I think they cedlebrate a Holiday every other week. That would make it about 26 plus our US Army/American Holidays.... I'm surprised we ever got anything accomplished :
