Melissa and Rose oils??

My name is Melissa Rose (should have been an aromatherapist!). I was just wondering about the essential oils of Melissa and Rose - and what they're generally used for?

As before but take care with Rose - its methyl eugenol content may cause cancer. RIFM have an 'edict' on it.
Use a very very low dose and choose rose bud as it has a low ME content in the first place (not that it can be bought easily!)

Hi Mysterious Me,

What is the RIFM? Have not heard of it before and who do you get your rosebud oil from. What is the genus of plant, is it the Centifolia. Curious about this. Rose is one of my favourites, but I don't think I will ever be able to afford to use rose oil in any large amounts that could be cancerous. Do you know the proportion of methyl eugenol in rose otto.

Look forward to having some more info on this.
