Is it stupid of my dad to not introduce me to a razor?

Im 17, nearly have a beard which i want to remove, but my dad still hasnt asked me about it. he tells me that i should, but he doesnt seem to want to teach me.
how did your dad introduce you to shaving?

I did it on my own. If I waited for my Dad to have taught me, I'd have a beard longer than Osama Bin Laden's.

I'm 13 and my dad bought me a razor but I never knew when I was supposed to shaved til my mom yelled at me to. All u have to do is rub shaving cream on ur face and shave it off with the razor

I suppose you could ask him to teach you directly, but then, he probably never learnt from his dad and figures it somehow comes naturally with practice. No one ever directly taught me...I learnt by observation and simply doing.

Early in my teens, I would use Noxema as a shaving creme, later real shaving cream, and now, I use simple soap to soften the skin followed by a standard, disposable razors. I have never found an electric razor that works for me and refuse to spend hundreds on any of them. Funny thing, I did not achieve a full mustache until age 18, the rest was spotty peach fuzz until about age 17.

My dad didn't teach me either, he wasn't around so I just taught myself.
Ask you dad out right to show you, if he refuses then you're just going to have to do what I did, teach yourself.
