Warning to anyone who has something to do with AC. The management there is becoming rediculous and the owner needs to realize this. Watch your health because now girls are not allowed to call in sick-even with a doctors note. Unless they are in the hospital apparently it is no excuse to be away from work. So you could be getting a massage by an attendant who says "Oh it's just allergies" meanwhile she has a bad cold that she's trying to hide.

Do you not realize that most of the girls who have been there for a while are all dissaperaring? And all the new girls he is hiring are all 18-21 years of age....because they are trying to brainwash these girls into thinking that they make alot of money who are new to the business so they won't realize that other girls are making for their services.

And then he expects free massages from each and every girl who works there. Especially the new young girls who he can trick into massaging him for like 2 hours.

Please.... if you see a girl or see for yourself what is going on...please suggest to the girl that there are much better places...because there is. The girls are trying to save up for school and cars and their children...they don't need this BS.

Body & Soul is not too far away, is likely to be vastly better for the girls than Alpo Care, and the pricing isn't vastly different.

It's also worth pointing out that there's nothing conspicuously new about this. It has long been common for new girls to get "broken in" at Alpo Care, and once they figure out that they can do better elsewhere, that's where they head. (e.g. "elsewhere.") The place has long been a "revolving door," and it would be surprising for that to change.

I am not big fan of Alpha Care, having said that..

These ladies are not sold into slavery, they are working there of their own free will. Either they will put up with this for a host of reasons, I would guess, the money will be the main motivator in the beginning, or they will move on to a less stress intensive model of massage studio. There are not, to my understanding a lack of places where the ladies can work, by the city's own comments, there are over 700 legal and illegal places to work in the greater Toronto area. I am reasonably certain, when the negatives outweigh the positives, the ladies will make a beeline for the exit doors. The ladies will move on to a place that more suits the most important things they are interested in, while working in this industry.

Just my humble opinion.

Free market or not, this is an industry that by it's definition requires close contact, intimate contact even. When that's the case the women should be told to stay away when they are sick, not to report to work no matter what. I would get really mad if I caught a cold or a cough or worse from a mpa. That's just irresponsible on the part of the owners, not to mention stupid.

Beware of substitutions. If a girl has left AC and you unknowingly book her, you will not be told that she has left. When you turn up for your appointment, management will only say that the girl failed to show at work. Then they will suggest one of the other MPAs instead. I overheard two guys talking about this at AC. Fabianna was offered as a substitute for Bella who is believed to have quit AC. Heard that Fabianna does have a real attitude, and should be avoided, although she is very pretty.

Did this happen to you, or are you just spreading silly gossip?

I've never experienced a bait and switch at AC personally. In fact, when I call
to book a girl who had already quit, the guy always tells me "sorry she doesn't
work here anymore". I've tried to book at least 10 girls who had quit (but still
on website), and always told that they don't work there anymore.

I'll agree that AC is a lot of things, including unhygienic, but let's not start
spreading false rumors just because you don't like the place...

Happens in a lot of places. Given that the appointments are booked by 30, 45, and 60 minute intervals, there is no buffer room for shower and clean up before and after the massage. So you add another 15 minutes minimum before that. Also, the girls aren't machines where they can go from client to the other in a methodical fashion. They need a break/breather in between. So sometimes there is a 30 minute gap. This used to be an annoying fact at SRM until I thought this through. But, I think the appt takers should take this into consideration when booking appointments instead of trying to cram everyone in. As a customer you feel weird having to wait for prolonged periods in the room by yourself.

Least amount of screwups happen at Allure as they always leave a buffer for room cleaning ,freshenup etc.Other spas can adapt to the same practice too.

I've been a MPA who used to work at Alpha Care. She told me you had no choice... you get ready in the room, and they send in whoever. No refund if you don't like the girl. I thought that was CRAZY! Like who would accept something like this! Can anyone confirm whether this indeed is the practice?

I speak from experience when it comes to AC and I have always picked my own mpa based on a tip or from the pics. I too have never been switched intentionally. On one occasion last year the wrong girl came in the room and when I mentioned it they quickly rectified the situation. I too have heard the complaints about the owners and there may be some truth to that, but I do not want a massage for him and I am sure the ladies move on and find better places to work at.
