Advice for 1st pamper party please

Very excited as got phone call enquiry for my 1st party that resulted from my open day. Really pleased that they want to come to my workplace so I dont have to hump and heave all the stuff to their place.

Its for 4 ladies and they are having 2 treatments each £24 plus gift bags value of £22 each

I will be the only therapist, so my main worry is entertaining them and letting the evening flow. I want them to have a wonderful time, without becoming bored

They will have the use of a large lounge with big comfy sofa's ,music, and candles, and I will leave a table with jugs of fruit juices, bottled water and ice.

I was so thrilled to get booking that I offered to do nibbles and then got carried away and blurted out Id be happy to do something more substantial for them to eat as a couple were coming straight from work. Which i think would be nice....and then thought Flippen Hec!!!! What can I do that wont cost a fortune and take hours to prepare, that can be left out for them to help themselves?
They asked if they could bring wine, I did advise against, but they would really like a couple of glasses, so I said yes

Should I supply robes and slippers or ask them to bring their own, or should they wear loose comfy clothes?

Will send out treatment menu and consultaion forms before event and will ask for pre payment. Do you think I need to do anything else?

Any advice to help the evening run smoothly greatly appreciated.

If you have said you will provide food, go for the easy option of salads - with perhaps quiche or cold meats and french bread, then they can help themselves. Don't offer a meal again - or, at least, don't publish it! Also, drink is a grey area. I tend to just offer my clients flavoured water - cucumber, lemon or lime - they can live without booze for one evening.

Are you likely to use 4 robes ever again? If not, suggest they bring their own - or, get some cheap ones from somewhere like Primark or Matalan. Slippers? No idea - at my gaff they are barefoot, but towelling slip-ons are quite cheap and disposable.

Are you giving them 2x30 minute treatments each? You are going to be stretched! This will give you a good experience and tell you whether you could cope again with this workload. I have worked on 4 clients in four hours, but they had a one hour treatment each, so as not to break continuity. However, it was one hour too long, so since then, I either get a freind to help and cut the time to 2.5 hours, or only offer 3 places. The two left alone are quite happy to chat and read whilst they wait.

The cucumber and lemon and lime water sounds lovely, and will do salad and stuff....wont offer that again lol!!! Unless it a raging success and I can put my prices up a little!

Think I will ask a friend to help as sometimes I have bad days with my 'orrible Arthur'

My original idea was to do pamper days at my workplace so this will give me an idea whether its for me or not,

Will have a look in Primark and Matalan for Cheap Robes and slippers

I agree with Jabba about getting another therapist in - you will be stretched otherwise. Well done for getting your first pamper party.

Will get in touch another therapist to help, its funny I am so enthusiastic and feel about 19 and could do anything, then when I ve worked hard for a while feel 119 lol!
